Mass Intentions & Offerings

Father Thomas Mason writes

Ss. John Fisher & Thomas More.

Two giants of early-English history. Both raised in the calm of pre-Reformation society where Catholicism was entirely unchallenged as the Faith of this land. A world where martyrdom was a far-off reality – other times and other places. But who, when that challenge arrived, knew that they could not shift and bend with the fashions of the time. They stood firm for the Catholic faith, and paid the price of their lives – they now reign in heaven and constantly pray for us who struggle to follow their example of fidelity to the Church and her faith.

O GOD, who didst raise up amongst the English people thy blessed Martyrs John and Thomas to be defenders of the faith and to witness to the primacy of the Roman Church: grant by their merits and prayers; that in the profession of one faith we may all be made one in Christ, and in him continue to be at one with one another; through the same Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reignite with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Divine Worship – The Missal) 22nd June 2021

Making an Act of Spiritual Communion
while being prevented from receiving the
Blessed Sacrament.

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen
